The club hosted the the SEAA 6/4/3 stage relays at Aldershot on Saturday 23rd September 2023. On a warm sunny day, AFD had several teams competing in this highly competitive competition, racing against the top clubs in the South of England. Top results below:-
U13 Girls – 3rd – Felicity Croucher, Poppy Guest, Naomi Walmsley
U15 Girls – 1st – Tilly Robertson, Maya Jobbins, Kitty Scott
U17 Women – 1st – Lucy Barlow, Lottie Quinn, Katie Pye
Senior Women – 1st Steph Twell, Lauren Hall, Maddie Jordan-Lee, Kate Estlea

European Masters Athletics Championships

Four AFD Masters athletics competed recently at the European Masters Athletics Championships in Italy. Mark Symes picked up a brilliant bronze in the 1500m. AFD Results below:-

800m – 10th (Heat) Dan Acheson (M40) – 2:09.98

Discus – 12th Allan Leiper (M60) – 34.49m

National Road Relays

The National Road Relays were held at Sutton Park and AFD took a fantastic 1st and 2nd place in the women’s 4 stage race. There were also second place team finishes for the Senior Men and U15 Girls Team’s. Whilst the U13 Girls and U17 Women’s Team’s came 3rd. Top results below:-
