Membership Information
We accept children from the age of 9 depending on availability of coaches, as we have to keep to a fixed ratio of coaches and athletes (we welcome anyone willing to help in coaching and running the club).
Athletes of a proven ability (i.e. performance at genuine athletics meeting) and district athletics finalists may be fast tracked, please apply.
Potential members are welcome to visit the club before joining.
Coaching is conducted by qualified UK Athletics Coaches (DBS checked). The club operates specialist training groups, although under 11 and 13 squads are expected to try all athletics disciplines.
The club expect all members to compete (at least 4 times a year) and operates in a range of athletics leagues and competition, from local district through to national championships. While the club caters for all standards the club also has a number of international athletes.
The club is based at the Military Stadium, Queens Avenue, Aldershot.
The main training times are Tuesday and Thursday evenings: 18:30 – 20:30 and Sunday 10:00 to 12:00
Options are available for a range of training on the track, on grass or on roads. Individual groups/coaches may have further arrangements.
The club is entirely run by volunteers, thus ensuring that athletics is a cheap sport. See the membership page annual subscription rates. There are no extra fees for training at the stadium and entry for league competitions is also included.

Annual Subscription 2026 / 2027
Your annual membership fee is due between 1st and 28th February. Failure to renew your membership will result in you not being registered with England Athletics, which will exclude you from competing for the club. You will not be insured for use of the Stadium or any other athletics facility.

Family membership is offered at the price of three for the price of two (youngest age member is free). Family membership is only available to young dependents.
Members who do not live in the Aldershot area and who do not train at the Military Stadium have a 50% discount, this includes Student.
New members who join after 1st September for the first year pay 50%.
New members should only complete forms and pay when they have been offered membership with AFD
