Aldershot Farnham & District Athletics Club (AFD) is friendly but competitive club with junior, senior and masters athletes competing in track and field events, as well as cross country and road races.
The club provides competition throughout the year across all disciplines ie Track, Field, Cross Country & Road. Athletes who join the club are expected to compete regularly either in track and field, cross country or road events.
The club welcomes all ages and abilities from the age of 9 upwards depending on availability of coaches. The coach to athlete ratios are set by England Athletics.
The procedure for joining AFD is:
1. Initial application is made to afdadmissions@hotmail.co.uk giving name, age and athletics experience.
2. Application is assessed, membership is offered or the applicant is placed on the waiting list.
3. Athletes will be offered a trial.
4. On the successful completion of the trial (usually 2 weeks) the membership form below must be filled in, agreements to the code of conduct made (the codes of conduct are on the website under membership) and membership fees paid as below.
Please note the volume of new member enquiries is currently very high and some of the training groups are currently running at maximum capacity. Please bear with us and we will respond to your enquiry in due course.
Annual Subscription Rates 2026 / 2027
Your annual membership fee is due between 1st and 28th February 2026. Failure to pay your membership will result in you not being registered with England Athletics, which will exclude you from competing for the club. You will not be insured for use of the Stadium or any other athletics facility .
Annual Membership Fees inclusive of £23 England Athletics Registration
Age 17 and over £110 (£87 club subscription plus £23 EA registration)
Age 11-16 £100 (£77 club subscription plus £23 EA registration)
Age 11 and under £90 (£67 club subscription plus £23 EA registration)
Family membership is offered at the price of three for the price of two (youngest age member is free). Family membership is only available to young dependents.
Members who do not live in the Aldershot area and who do not train at the Military Stadium have a 50% discount, this includes Students.
New members who join after 1st September for the first year pay 50%.
Data Protection:
When you become a member of or renew your membership with Aldershot Farnham and District Athletics Club you will be registered as a member of England Athletics. We will provide England Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called MyAthletics). England Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your MyAthletics profile (which amongst other things, allows you to set and amand your privacy setting).
