UK Masters Championship 10 – 11 August

This weekend saw the British Masters track Champs being held at Birmingham.
I gather it was a trifle breezy in Birmingham making life very difficult however, the following fantastic results were recorded by AFD’s Mark Symes and Paul Gaylor:
Mark, despite picking up a nasty stress fracture in May, matched his middle distance double from last year. In a new age group, Mark won the V50 1500m on Sat in 4.28 and finished the weekend in style on Sun by winning the 800m-after a slow first lap of 68, he burned the last lap in 60s!
Also competing in the V50 5000m, Paul finished in 4th place in 16.59 which is a seasons best.
Fantastic running in really difficult conditions
