Final Hampshire Cross Country league

Aldershot Farnham & District’s runners came away from the finale of the Hampshire Cross Country League with six team and four individual titles.  The senior women sealed their title with victory on the day as Pippa Roessler won the individual race with Katie Hughes sixth and Anna Hedley twelfth.  Roessler and Hedley were the first two under-20s but it was the third counter for the club’s team triumph in this category, Kiki Webb, who took the overall title while Kate Estlea, who did not contest Saturday’s race, was crowned senior champion.

AFD finished at the top of the table in the u13 girls’ competition where Katie McBride’s two wins at the beginning of the series helped her to the individual honours.  Hamish MacLean, Brian Stopher and Simon Cooper ensured the veteran men’s title with victory on a day when both the u17 men and u15 girls were confirmed as champions in their age groups.  Daniel Orbell won all four races he contested, including Saturday’s, for the u13 boys’ title.
