Woody Jerome, in his first season of running cross country races, won the junior title at the English Schools Championships on Saturday. He finished nine seconds clear of Somerset’s Tom Heal and Cheshire’s William Ashfield as he led Surrey to the gold medals in Leeds with a sextet that included four other members of Aldershot Farnham & District. Harry Hyde was eleventh, Sam Bodoano fourteenth, Ethan Scott sixteenth and Charlie Wagstaff 22nd.
