BUCS Championships – Bedford

AFD athletes were in fine form competing in Bedford in the University Outdoor Championships over Bank Holiday weekend. There were notable performances from Ellis Cross running a pb in the 5000m to take gold and Luke Dorrell clocking a speedy 10.72secs pb in his heat which is the fastest 100m time by an AFD athlete for many years:-

AFD’s masters mens and womens teams got off to a good start at Winchester in their first match of the season.
There were several excellent performances with wins from Dan Tomlinson in the B string 100m, Darren Dods in both the 400m and Long Jump, Allan Leiper in the Shot Putt, Sue Davies in the 2000m walk and Lourdes Camos with a pb in the triple jump. The ladies team also finished the evening off with a fantastic win in the 4x100m.
