Two AFD athletes had success at the England Indoor Championships over the weekend (17-18 January). Spencer Gibson won the U15 Boys 1000m Walks title in a time of 5:28.09. Whilst Abigail Jennings took first place in the Senior Ladies 3000m Walk clocking a time of 14:29.42
Niamh Lumpkin won under 13 Girls Shot Put at the South of England Indoor Championships at Lee Valley on Saturday 10 January. AFD’s young athletes competed in their first indoor match of the Hampshire Sportshall season on 1 November 2025. Each athlete has to compete in 6 events. Running, jumps and throws. The team had plenty of debuts yesterday. Well done to everyone that competed! Next match is on 22 November at Eastleigh Sports Centre.
