Two AFD athletes Helen Wilson and Toby Gadam recently travelled across the globe to Perth, Australia to compete in the World Transplant Games. The World Transplant Games stages international sporting events, to support and raise awareness for organ donation and transplantation. The games, which took place between 15 and 21 April saw 150 athletes selected to represent Team GB in various sports.
Helen competing in the W60 age group took a fantastic gold medal in the discus and 2 silvers in the javelin and shot putt. Whilst Toby came 8th in both the M50 Weight Throw Ball and Javelin. Congratulations to both athletes!
