AFD are looking to forge links with their local Senior Schools supporting the PE departments with encourage participation in athletics. Farnham Heathend school have recently had a long jump pit installed following a joint funding project with the “Tootsie” nursery based on the school grounds. The school asked for AFD to be involved in the official opening of the long jump. AFD’s Olympian Stephanie Twell and ex-Farnham Heathend pupil, England International Tim Snook were accompanied by Coach Assistant Cathy Stewart and surrounded by pupils who are already members of AFD declared the long jump pit “open”.
