Aldershot, Farnham & District won their UK Youth Development League meeting for the lower age-groups at the Aldershot Military Stadium on Saturday. Ollie Nicholson, newly crowned Hampshire champion over 100m, won both U15B sprints and opened for the club’s victorious sprint relay team in which he was joined by Henry McGoldrick, Alex Knight and Daniel Hagart.

In the U13B category, Sam Clifton combined his 100m victory with success in the 75m hurdles. The 200m was won by George Asprey who also took the shot-put title.  The pair formed the first half of AFD’s winning relay side which was completed by Harry Hyde and Alex Clifton.

Justin Colyer beat Shemar Ferguson of Sutton & District AC, bronze medallist from the previous weekend’s Surrey championships, to take the U15B 300m and Chris Horlock claimed the age group’s high-jump event. They both teamed up with Harry Asprey and Luke Van Oudtshoorn for an AFD triumph in the 4x300m relay.

The club had two victories over 800m: Alfie Spencer (U13B) and Abi White (U15G). AFD’s other wins came in the U15G’s 1200m (Charlie Parsons) and U15G 4x100m relay (Sarah Reece, Holly Patten, Jess Gilliver and Chloe Toft).
