Surrey Cross Country Champs
Lily Partridge led a quartet of Aldershot Farnham & District runners to the senior women’s team title at the Surrey cross country championships on Sunday, regaining the individual title won when she last contested the event in 2014. Niamh Brown was third, Nancy Scott fourth and Emily Wicks eighth. An AFD athlete, Dane Blomquist, also won the senior men’s race.
The club’s under-20 men took the gold medals. Jack Johnson and Joe Blacknell, respectively individual silver and bronze medallists, were backed up by Luke van Oudtshoorn in sixth. In the combined u20 and u17 women’s team competition, Pippa Roessler was fifth, Katriona Brown sixth and Niamh McLoughlin eleventh for victory.
