Aldershot Farnham & District hosted the finale of the Hampshire Cross Country League on Saturday and the club's runners rewarded chairman Mike Neighbour and his team of organizers by securing many of the trophies on offer.
The under-15 boys provided the most dominant display as Will Barnicoat, silver medallist in the South of England championships a fortnight earlier, won a race in which AFD had the first four and another five in the top ten. The squad had triumphed at all four previous meetings.
The u13 boys also completed a full set of team victories and Rudi Morrell, who won on the day, clinched the overall individual title. AFD took two other age group titles with wins at all five matches: u17 men and u15 girls.
The club claimed the u13 girls' overall title and its other team trophy came after Luke Prior had led the senior men to victory in the last race of the day, ahead of Alex Pointon who was also runner-up to him in the individual aggregate.
