Emelia Gorecka made a winning return to cross country running by taking the senior women's race at the finale of this season's Hampshire League on Saturday. The former European junior champion beat Aldershot, Farnham & District colleague Katie Bingle as the pair led the club to victory on the day to secure the league title. The senior men also had the day's individual winner, Jack Boswell, leading them to team honours on the day and at the final reckoning. In the same race, AFD's veteran men took the overall title with their victory on the day.
The club's under-17 men made it five wins in the five-match series with a perfect score in the finale. Robbie Coupland achieved the individual league title by finishing ahead of Marcus Shantry and Max Heyden. The u13 boys also won at all five meetings with Sam Bodoano's win on the day, ahead of Ed Henderson, confirming him as league champion. Theo Doran, second, Charkie Kershaw, third, and Joe Blacknell, fourth made sure of the u15 boys' team title. AFD's other triumphant squad, both on the day and in the overall standings, was the u13 girls'.
