Aldershot, Farnham & District’s runners dominated the men’s races at Winchester where their cross country season opened with a meeting of the Hampshire League.  One of the club’s individual winners was Lucy Pygott who led the senior women to a perfect score.  Pygott, whose summer successes included a medal at the European Youth championships, finished four seconds ahead of Lauren Hall while Niamh Brown was third.  Gabi Eglen combined with Pygott and Brown for victory in the under-20s’ category.

Luke Van Oudtshoorn won the u15 boys’ event where he was backed in AFD’s win by Charlie Kershaw and Eion Canning.  Josh Grace, runner-up in the senior men’s contest, was backed by Jake Cvetkovic, Harvey Dixon, Jonny Hay and Jack Rowe.  Third-placed Harry Hyde led home u13 boys team mates Ryan Martin and Sam Bodoano.  Max Heyden, Robbie Coupland and Marcus Shantry comprised AFD’s victorious u17 men’s side and there was a win for the club’s u13 girls, courtesy of Hannah Woolley, Ruby Horton and Maddie Eldridge-Head.
