Three runners from Aldershot Farnham & District claimed Hampshire Cross Country League titles as they led the club to team titles in their age groups. Woody Jerome won at all five meetings of the season as did his under-15 boys’ side. The u17 men also won all five team races while Elliot Pocock scored the second of two individual victories during Saturday’s finale. The senior men won at all bar the last meeting and were led by Philip Sewell who clinched the individual crown with his second place at Dibden. Overall runner-up was Marcus Shantry, the best u20.
AFD’s senior women managed to hold their position at the top of the table despite not repeating the success they had in the first two fixtures. Emily Hosker-Thornhill won the final race of the series. She had scored a victory at the match her club hosted in November but these were her only league appearances. In the last race for u17 women, AFD’s Alice Garner beat Hermione Walker but could not prevent the Reading athlete from securing the overall title.
