<description>I first met Erin soon after I started coaching athletics – at a Hampshire County
Athletics coaching event – Erin had been invited to attend the day as one of
Hampshire’s promising athletes.

When she first came to join my jumps group we focussed on the long jump – but it
was in the triple jump where she excelled. Her best performance came in 2010 when
she leaped out to over 10.70m which ranked her 33rd in the country for her age. And
this season she picked up her 3rd consecutive Hampshire County Triple Jump title.
There was certainly more for her to give in the event.

But her jumping ability was just one small part of Erin. She was a bubbly young
woman who was always, and I mean always, talking - it could be exhausting! She
always had a story to tell and was genuinely liked by all who met her.

Erin was a large part of the jumps group and the club more widely. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her – but will remain in our hearts.
