Emily Wicks going off the mass start was the 176 and second women home from the mass start in a time of 2hr 39min 18sec. Including the Elite Women Emily was the 4th fastest British Women and 2nd English Woman. Congratulation Emily The first Alder Valley Girls League Match got off to a good start, the sun was shining! Although numbers were low due to the Road Relays taking part in Birmingham and injuries, each girl that took part on Sunday gave [...] Even by AFD high standards Saturday 13th April will rank as outstanding. The Senior ladies went to Sutton park for the National 6 stage road relays quietly determine, the supports for the squad round the course was great. The final result was fantastic with AFD “A” team winning in 1hr 37min 56 sec, a time [...] Two AFD runners Daisy D’Santos & Jack Boswell traveled to Dinefwr Park, Llandello, Carmarthenshire, Wales on Saturday the 23 March to represent England in the Schools Home Internationals. Daisy came 7th & was 6th scorer for the team in the Inter Girls (8 in a team) and Jack came 11th in the Junior Boys race. [...] The AFD runners selection to represent Great Britain at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Sunday 24 March. In the Senior Ladies Stephanie Twell finished 40th and Emily Wicks 65th In the Junior Ladies race Emelia Gorecka finished 16th to lead home the UK team to Bronze medals. Congratulations After Camellia Hayes win at England Athletics Under 20 Indoor High Jump Championships at Birmingham Indoor Arena on the 24th Feb. Camillia was selected to represent England in a home international Under 20 match in Cardiff on the 10th March. She won in 1.77. Congratulations Camellia [...] Great jumping from Camellia Hayes in clearing 1.81 to win the England Athletics Under 20 Indoor High Jump Championships at Birmingham Indoor Arena on the 24th Feb. Congratulations to Camellia The Southern Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill Fields on the 16th February 2013 was another good day for AFD.
